Okay, I’m a kitchen noob. What does an air fryer do? Do you still have to use oil?

I leave it to my husband. :-) But having watched him, he shakes up wings (for example) in a ziplock bag with a bit of oil (couple of tablespoons?) and sprinkles them with north woods spice from Penzeys. Fabulous.

I think if you skipped oil entirely you wouldn’t get the crispy aspect.
