The thing here is, while the North is not as quick to anger as the South, when they do get pissed, bad things happen.

A testament to this was the fate of Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina during the Civil War, ravaged to hell and back, and back to hell again.

Or heavily North-biased Administration during WWII. That ended after the US had unleashed the most vicious and brutal tactics since the Mongols, with Germany and Japan suffering heavy obliteration.
