The council member that left seems kind of a petulant chickenshit. It’s not like the guy with the CCW was engaging in any inflammatory rhetoric or threatening behavior, and police are always present during such meetings.

Basically, the Supremes have ruled that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right, the same Court that ruled the Affordable Care Act constitutional. Either we live under a rule of law and both sides accept these kinds of judgement calls no matter which side of them we’re on, or we all just admit to being partisan hacks.

There’s also absolutely nothing wrong with hoping a future court decides differently.
