Yes, it’s enormously disturbing that Netanyahu has now basically admitted he never intended to support a two-state solution.

This is why it’s getting harder and harder for me to give Israel my unqualified support; the government has swung to the far right in a horrible way, and I no longer believe Netanyahu is acting in good faith. Haven’t for some time.

Attitudes and positions on both sides seem to be hardening more and more, and this can’t end well.

The bottom line is that we’re all just talking, and can’t affect anything about the situation. Until there’s a real impetus toward change in both Israeli and Palestinian society, the killing will go on as it’s been going on for eons already.

This has been the situation for my entire life.
