The difficulty I have with the Idiocracy model is that the important stupidity in the US is not biological or generically inherited. Instead it is willful, culturally transmitted and inherited by indoctrination.

That’s why I said that recent events actually refute the movie’s premise, since the Idiocracy is already here, without 500 years of unnatural selection.
