We should be focused on maximizing our base. Sigh I’m so tired of these voters.

The problem isn’t that we shouldn’t try to understand them: it’s that so many demand that we understand them, at the absolute exclusion of the rest of the Dem base, with the underlying implication that ‘these are literally the only voters that matter, and if you go after anyone else, you hate ‘Real America’ and deserve to be destroyed’.

The comments, even if NYT comment sections are miles ahead of most, is still filled with dumb ‘Dems are Republicans, burn the entire party’ bullshit.

To be a Dem in this country is to shoulder the blame for literally everything while the GOP gets to steal shit carte blanche, forever and anon.
