In that fanfic article about “confident negotiator” Jared, this convoluted sentence appears:

In meetings, they also noticed, Mr. Kushner appeared to prop up Mr. Miller as an expert on immigration, noting that Mr. Miller’s reputation as a hard-liner was out of sync with his reasonable nature.

Are Annie and Maggie saying that Miller or Kushner has the reasonable nature? Hard to parse the antecedent, but if they’re talking about Miller, oh my.

Reasonable? Miller? Okay then. I’m the Kimg of Siam.
