My first 4/20 proper was a year after Columbine, in Minturn, CO. There was about thirty of us in the riverside park. Right at 4:20 p.m. everybody started smoking, myself included. There were two sheriff’s deputies and one officer from town about two blocks away, they stayed away.

Man, that cloud of smoke that rose from the park. It was something to see.
