I’d like to conduct a poll of my own:

“How many of you believe it is perfectly okay to beat the living crap out of anyone who hits a woman?”

Only question needed.

Not to question your intent at all but how many people who say things like this have ever been beaten up. I mean really beaten. Further how many people actually have beaten someone else up.

I have experienced both and both experiences are extremely visceral. Obviously getting beaten up not only hurt physically but it was extremely humiliating mentally. But I would have to say beating someone else up (and it was a male about my size and age by the way) was profoundly unnerving and still haunts me to this day. I feel I donated some of my soul by doing this and I will never get it all back.
