That is what is classically known as a paradox, a Catch-22, a rock and a hard place, damned if you do and damned if you don’t… see, if Hillary would have left Bill in 1997 or Huma left Weiner in 2011*, they’d not have been praised for being strong independent women, they would have been criticized for not taking their marriage vows seriously and trying to work it out; but since they stayed and tried to work it out, they are criticized for not being strong independent women.
