Glad to see Macron won; a big sigh of relief.

There was another, smaller election today as well, in Germany, where Merkel’s party did very well - it looks like Angela Merkel may well be on her way to a fourth term as Chancellor.

Common sense seems to be prevailing here in Europe - let’s hope it stays that way.

Two things happened to make sure of that: Brexit and Trump.

Merkel will be the new Leader of the Free World. Congrats, Angela.
