the media rules today are truly fascinating https://t.co/XXQZL2xhez— Eric Boehlert (@EricBoehlert) December 5, 2019
It’s funny how Republicans can literally call to lynch their opponents and body slam reporters, but every utterance of their opponents are as carefully parsed as the Dead Sea Scrolls in case they might contain some bland possible slight. https://t.co/pPVUsmYHVt

This is why the media is just hopelessly hackable. Any story or claim, no matter how dumb, has to be covered, has to be debunked and therefore dignified. It’s a broken model that’s been weaponized by bad faith actors. And it just keeps going. https://t.co/iob3kWC20m

The assumption of good faith from the GOP that the media continually extends at all times is going to be the death of us all. Especially when it’s constantly coupled with the assumption of bad faith and illegitimacy on the Dems part. Any fucking hack can spew an attack line from the Republicans and be treated and dignified like they just said a gospel truth. Dems say something true and non-controversial, and they’re screamed down for daring to criticize their betters.
This is why I have precious little faith that anything will come of this process. The media has picked its side, and will ensure that disinformation rules and that the GOP is the eternal victim to be pitied, even as they rob us blind and tear down all our institutions from within.
