Well, Drumpf has lost the narrative. He knows he has no control over the crisis. He is a mouthpiece for an absolute disaster, and he has completely lost control of it. We doubled our deaths in the last four days and Palm Sunday services across the south will result in a huge bloom of new cases in the next three weeks.

I really wish the average IQ in this country was over 100, but the fact is that half of our country consists of people with below average intelligence.

We are basically fucked because half of the population will not do what needs to be done to stop the spread of the virus.

Statistics. Can’t argue with them. It’s all in the numbers.

Unfortunately, my friends and family who remain firmly in Trump’s camp all have IQ’s above 100. They are as firmly brainwashed as the characters in The Manchurian Candidate. They believe the lies they are fed by their pastors or by the RW media. They watch this monster perform before them on television and they see someone of strength and determination and good judgement.

My brother repeatedly tells us that our problem is that we are the ones who get information from the wrong sources; no, Trump did not disband the pandemic team; Trump saved untold lives by his January 31 ban on flights; Trump was distracted by the impeachment; and no, Trump did not mock a disabled reporter. He regurgitates every fabrication produced by the Republican hierarchy. Intelligence does not protect you from deceit.

People who have joined cults often need the assistance of deprogrammers to rescue them from their firmly held beliefs. Trumpism is such a cult.
