Really brought both blogs and the issue of retouched photos in the news to the forefront.

As far as the National Geographic cover goes though, is that one really as big a deal? I’m having a hard time getting worked up about that one.

Yeah, the pyramids photo doesn’t bother me that much. Now, if it were to be the only surviving image, it would be different, but I think of it as artistry (the focus shows that intent as well) and not as documentation.
