One of the reasons I use Tweetdeck is for its Global Filter feature. You add a Twitter username to the filter, and then you simply never see that person’s tweets at all. Stalkers use lots of tricks to try to get you to read their moronic crap, but this shuts them out entirely.

Makes using Twitter much nicer, especially when someone like Andrew Breitbart calls out his goon squad to bury you in insults. I have a keyboard macro that lets me add a username to the Tweetdeck filter with one mouse click and one keypress, so when hundreds of right wing morons start barraging me at Breitbart’s command, I just block them all as soon as they post an insult. Takes almost no effort.
