But that’s partly because the economy did improve significantly and the Soviet Union basically collapsed under Reagan. So many people (not me) have fond memories of his terms in office. It was basically a time of peace and prosperity. And Reagan was willing to work with Democrats and forged a great relationship with Tip O’Neil.
