Nimrod here doesn’t need an automatic rifle for this. In the very unlikely scenario proposed, I am fairly confident I could shoot 10 hogs a minute with my 45/70 Henry, for real, especially at point-blank range, and even pausing twice to reload. Once hit with that caliber, they go down and stay down, something that is iffy with a 5.56. I wouldn’t like it but it could be done.
