I would also like to comment that Jesus does not try this sort of talk on the centurion with the sick servant. You might say that was because the man opens with both a highly deferential approach, and an attitude of enormous faith. You might also say it was because he was armed to the teeth, and with a considerably higher social status than some wandering healer.
