why do so many products have wheat in them?
Because most flour is made from wheat.
When the ice cream people get the cookies for their cookies and cream, they have wheat in their warehouse. Therefore, to avoid lawsuits, they wil print “may contain wheat” or ‘gluten’ because grain dust may or may not get into the plant.

As I recall, this particular ice cream had no cookie stuff in it; it was just plain simple chocolate ice cream. But I can’t remember who made it.
