Consider how much Republicans have had to spend to try to get Moore elected. Yeah, he has his issues, but it should be a safe Republican seat. His issues have made this a tossup, but it wouldn’t be if the GOP wasn’t messed up.

Now, think about the panic Republicans are having if their big donors say “nope” to giving them money. They don’t have the small donor base the Democrats do. This is why they’re willing to cut off their own noses for their donors.
