It’s amazing to me that all these people think Trump’ s a tough guy. Trump’s a fucking coward who has spent the years since the Apprentice ended tweeting stupid shit on Twitter. The real tough guys? The lifelong diplomats he disparages. Ambassador Yovanovitch has spent her career pushing for democratic interests. Trump has spent his career pushing for ways to enrich himself and his brand. One is a patriot and the other is an obnoxious piece of shit who shouldn’t be anywhere near the reins of political power.

Of course the red-hat crowd thinks Trump is a “tough guy”: he’s a loudmouthed braggart who wastes no opportunity to loudly insult his perceived “enemies” often and viciously, and on-the-record. And since they are utterly convinced his “enemies” are their “enemies”, they’ll cheer it on like crazy.
No way for a President to run a country, true: but as long as that “base” views government basically as a sort of reality-TV extravaganza, the bubble will remain unburst. For now, anyway.
