What a shame, she felt she had to provide a “cover”. The good ole’ days weren’t always so good.

My mother was raised 20 miles from the Philadelphia, Mississippi dam where the Freedom March civil rights protestors were buried.
My father was raised 15 miles from Selma Alabama.
And one of my uncles related the order from Bull Connor to loose the dogs and fire hoses on the protestors marching actross Edmund Pettis bridge.
