What a difference a week makes.

Seven days ago I was just starting a 3-day vacation and was setting into a hotel in Venice, FL to spend a few days with family in a somewhat warmer clime. My office was a seat at a table in a workroom shared with 6-8 other people, and my equivalent to drawers was an old copier paper box.

Tonight I’m back in “sunny” Philadelphia watching it rain and be 40-something while my week-old sunburn itches. My office is now a low-wall cubicle in a very nicely laid-out office floor with a good lunchroom and a number of other amenities. Main downside is that anyone half a floor away can see what you’re doing and I got a very straightforward warning from my boss to not blog comment during working hours.

However, I also realize and recognize that I have things a hell of a lot better than all the lizards out there with employment issues.
