I’m gonna predict now that Prof. Ford does end up agreeing to appear before the SJC on Monday, which is gonna put them in one hell of a bind. The obvious reality is they’re scared shitless of facing her because they remember Anita Hill and how some of their numbers barely won reelection after the way they treated her. Their biggest mistake is their insistence that they’re all about making her “comfortable,” that they’re open to whatever format she desires to be heard in. That’s going to blow up in their faces when she accepts and they start trying to add in restrictions and barriers in a panic to limit the damage.

My secret long-shot hope is that she shows up at the hearing and reveals that she has photos from the party with Kavanaugh and Judge.

Kinda like daydreaming about winning the lottery. It’d be cool if it happened, but likely won’t.
