I think what you said - “…most people who aren’t obsessively following the internet…” is an important point. There is clearly an ugly fight in the blogosphere and if this is what you are living and breathing, then it looks like a huge deal. But the average person who’s trying to squeeze in a trip to the grocery store, or out throwing the football around with their son, doesn’t really care.
