Heath Mello ought to just join the Republican Party. On the other hand, he is about as close as you’re going to get for a Democrat in a lot of places here, and will still vote with Democrats on other issues (he has an abortion bug stuck up his backside).

If he votes with the D’s on questions like “who should be the majority leader” and “which party should pick committee chairs”… that’s a plus. Even if he’s unreliable on every single nomination or piece of legislation ever.

From some States or Districts, that’s really the best we can hope for.
