After years of reading and participating in discussions on watch forums of the safety of working on radium-dialed watches (don’t lick the dial, don’t snort the dust), I read a post this morning asking about the safety of Tritium dials. My response? Tritium’s beta particle is very low energy, nothing to worry about.

Now I wish I’d responded “Lazy Tritium’s beta is very low energy! Sad!”
