Remember those halcyon days under Clinton when the US government was actually running a budget surplus?

I recall Rush coming on and saying that it was “immoral” for the US government to take more from us than it needed to operate.

Only thing I can give him any credit for: he was one of the first to admit that the attempt to convict Clinton had failed and it was time to call it off. I even sent an e-mail to my (Republican) Arizona congressman quoting that statement.
