Me, I’m listening to Christmas music stored on a hard drive.

There’s another expat in town from Romania. He’s married a local girl (an English major from the campus in a different city) and together they have a fast food joint in town. I hung out there this afternoon and evening, enjoying his Christmas music, some nice company and OK food. Ha! But the French fries are good!

Interesting guy. Born in Transylvania — he makes jokes about vampires — but his family moved to Spain when he was still young. His dad is Israeli. He’s lived in Portugal and Italy, and studied Japanese at uni. So, with English he speaks six languages in all. His wife is helping him learn Chinese now.

He’s an IT guy, and game programmer, so the restaurant is his wife’s business while he works online doing what I hope is legal stuff. ;-)
