That is wafer thin, nano thin. Harper came out of government out west. He was moderately crooked and did some bad stuff (that trump is mirroring especially in only getting out friendly data) but there is no comparison between trump and Harper or Canada and the US. Canada wasn’t on a precipice of becoming a fascist dictatorship. Not even under Harper. I hated the guy but these two things are not even in the same galaxy let alone ballpark.

I have to say, while Bannon might want to be a dictator, I think this crew is too incompetent to pull it off. Trump himself is like a toddler who occasionally throws tantrums. He doesn’t have the attention span or intellect to form long term goals like the overthrow of democracy. Which isn’t to say they can’t do a lot of damage over the next four years; but I think the amount of damage they can cause will be mitigated by their incompetence. They may not even be able to repeal Obamacare, which has only been the GOP’s #1 priority for the last seven years.
