I’d love to find someone to mow my lawn that doesn’t own a company and want to charge me $1000 to ride a mower for 5 minutes a week throughout the summer (they only contact entire summers). There are apparently no kids who do this any longer.

That was how I earned my allowance: mowing lawn in summer, raking leaves in fall, shoveling the walk in winter.

For which I received $3.50, which was just enough for a model airplane and a pot of modelling paint or a tube of glue.
