Rush Limbaugh rips media for Foster Friess’s ‘aspirin’ tiff

“Andrea Mitchell [is] catching her breath probably still, and the rest of the Drive-Bys [media] went nuts, too,” Limbaugh said. “Now, are you picturing Andrea Mitchell, NBC News, Washington, with an aspirin between her knees? ‘Cause I am. That’s what ticks her off. Can you imagine Andrea Mitchell sitting at her anchor desk with an aspirin between her knees, all ticked off?”

The Friess comment Limbaugh was referring to, which had quickly landed the wealthy businessman in hot water, was: “Back in my days they used Bayer aspirin for contraception. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn’t that costly.”

An awestruck Mitchell responded, “Excuse me, I’m just trying to catch my breath from that, Mr. Friess, frankly.”

Limbaugh insisted Friday that Friess’s comment was as “innocent as it could be,” especially considering the country’s current culture that is “obsessed with sex.”
