re: #292 HappyWarrior

Booker is somewhere between 1 and 2 for me. There’s a lot I like about him. CJ reform and I love love how he responds to questions about his sexuality. But I wish he had a little more populist in his streak but I like him personally. But what I really like about him as well as Castro is both have executive and legislative experience.

Economically conservative is where I think he falls. He’s got a Wall Street streak, which makes sense since many of his constituents and donors have jobs thanks to Wall Street and the NYC metro area.

Doesn’t mean he couldn’t support taxes on the millionaire class, but that’s not going to be his primary focus.

Some of the issues that will come up re: Booker are the crime issues in Newark when he was mayor there, the lead in water issue (which came up after he became a US Senator, but probably should have been uncovered sooner), and his support for charter schools, which haven’t delivered the results.
