Atheism is simply the absence of a belief in a deity. There is no inherently atheist moral code and it is no excuse to strut about and pretend to be an intellectually and morally superior being. Contrary to what some Marxists (and other foolish persons) would have us believe.

The underlying moral code for the average atheist can include a number of historical moral foundations. It can include Christianity, Judaism, common sense, various secular philosophies and humanism.

Marx never wrote about atheism as a moral code.
