I never understood why both a belief in a “creator” and Evolution were mutually exclusive. Still don’t. The RC Church doesn’t seem to either.

My father was a high school math teacher and also an ordained minster/part time pastor. He never had a problem with it. His understanding/rationale went something like, “well, God made evolution happen, so whatevz” and he just kept his personal beliefs out of the classroom.

He was an extremely dogmatic person, yet had no trouble reconciling the two views. I always found that interesting about him.
