Perhaps he’s feeling the heat because the terrorist is an Australian citizen.

(NZ has a unicameral legislature. There is no Upper House of any description.)

It was also the result of people with dual citizenship (often British/Australian) not knowing the law as to being elected to the Australian Parliament. This fool was last in his party’s list but the person elected was thrown out because of dual citizenship, so by default he was the replacement. He then left the RW bigots party & joined another RW (almost as bigoted) party & they threw him out because of his white supremacy views - but he stays in parliament until the next election. He won’t be re-elected.
