I’m sure that this has been addressed, but deleting the post is not the point.
Look you say whatever you want (within reason), but to say:

“If I had a deep-seated fear and distrust of liberal thinking, and if I didn’t understand science very well, and I couldn’t make heads or tails of any data I found about climate change, and if I believed everything a bunch of wingnuts fed to me, I probably wouldn’t believe in it either.”

Makes you sound exactly like the people I, as a left leaning person, have spent years trying to prove are only a small, if vocal, minority.
Smug and almost uncompromisable… and we are trying here to convince the lizards that lefties can discuss without condescending.
That’s why I down-dinged.
But don’t apologize. It’s not necessary.
