Not to be unnecessarly ghoulish, but who is going to pick up all the medical bills for that time period. I could see the insurance company saying that they wouldn’t pay, since it wasn’t medically approved or necessary treatment, I don’t see the hospital eating the charge, and I SURE AS HELL don’t see Texas jumping up to cover it.
Anybody in that industry (medical billing / insurance / law) have any ideas.

IMO Texas should cover it fully. It was their intentionally vague law that led to this in the first place.
