I’m so sick of that red pill bs. I’m sure the Wachowskis didn’t intend for their movie to be used by a bunch of overgrown manchildren to put down people. I haven’t seen The Matrix but the way I see that pill stuff is that they were talking about seeing the world beyond yourself. Maybe I’m wrong.

Saw it when it came out, didn’t like it, don’t remember it very well, and much preferred The Thirteenth Floor which came out the same year. Both movies involved living in a computer-simulation, where the inhabitants thought they were in the real world and not the simulation. In any case, red pill had nothing to do with its appropriation by women-haters.
