We can surely hope. Certainly not all of our candidates will win seats, maybe not even a large minority of them.

However, the long slog of ballots with only one choice on them appears to be over, and the GOP is going to have to fight to retain seats.

I don’t know what caused the situation for the Democrats in Nebraska, as that was the problem when I first moved here.

It does show that both grass-roots organising from inside the state, with structural help from the national party and from outside the state can turn things around.

It is interesting because I remember when I first started loosely following politics watching CSPAN with my Grandma as a little kid in the early 90’s, you had two Dem senators and even Ben Nelson into the Obama years.
