Had dinner, inside, with two couples last night. One couple fully vaxxed, the other couple she’s vaxed and he’s not and they both just spent the last two weeks recovering from Covid (hers a breakthrough case). So now I get to wait and suggest we both get tested in four or five days (because we just were on an airplane - no reason to raise specific concerns about the couple).

She looked 100% (and said her breakthrough symptoms were worse than his). He acted 100% but wasn’t as blustery and ‘red-neck jolly’ as he normally acts. He also only finished about a third of his dinner, and he normally eats like a 30-something cowboy which is what he is. I asked if he would get the shot now and he said, ‘Hell no!’ and I changed the subject.

I was supposed to go salmon fishing with them today but begged off blaming a desire to catch up on work, but being on a boat for six hours with someone just coming off Covid wasn’t something I wanted to do.
