I don’t get the craziness over OEM versus after market. In some cases, like alternators and starters, the after markets can be better than the originals (or the OEM no longer makes the part at all). Or if the car is newish, you need the OEM to maintain warranties or it’s required if you’re rebuilding after an accident/damage.

Doubt that anyone wants the OEM Takata airbags since pretty much every car that has one has been up for a recall at some point.

Guess some people are purists.
