I don’t understand the objection to double spaces after periods and colons, but people online can get so nasty about it that I’ve been “fatigued into compliance”. It still looks illiterate, but whatever. I’ll never give up the Oxford comma, though.

I still do two spaces after a period. Shoot me.

Why are we supposed to give up commas?
