Gun crimes will include robberies. Obviously you’re going to have higher concentrations of gun robberies in metropolitan areas which are by and large Democratic strongholds. Also obvious is that you’re not going to see many people getting mugged at gun point in the middle of a corn field.

It’s not necessarily true, actually, according to the research the Atlantic did. But they just did gun deaths, not gun violence— gun deaths would include suicide, but I feel that it’s very fair to talk about suicide in the context of gun control because access to guns very definitely raises suicide risk and lowers suicide survivability.
