I really have no words. I mean I’m not surprised. And knowing American history…

Okay maybe I do have two words: Surprise Me. Surprise me majority America and don’t fall back into old habits. Surprise me and don’t tell me “it’s not time yet” or “its too soon”. Surprise me and take this threat as seriously as you would an issue related to yourself. Because eventually this will infringe on your rights too (just like as before).

And before you say, “not me” or “not all”, surprise me and listen. Both of my grandfather’s were almost lynched despite living in different area of the country (North and South) and totally different means (rich pillars of the community vs poor).

I’ve seen attitudes change already with talk of “identity politics less” surprise me and realize it’s not how I identify, but how others identify me.
So yea those are my only words right now.
“Surprise Me”.

“Less identity politics” is pretty much code for ‘only straight white people issues pls’.
