From what I have read, Porter had a partial security clearance and couldn’t get a full one because of the restraining order. The fact that he has been in the White House for a full year and thus privy to confidential documents is astounding. And yet Republicans howled about Secretary Clinton’s email server.

1) Nothing in white world emails could be all that secret to begin with.

2) Underneath all the Fox News/GOP caterwauling, the issue at hand seems to be that there were three paragraphs marked (c) (after the fact by the originating agency?) in some 30,000 emails. (c) in this context means ‘confidential’, which is the lowest level of classified info. IIRC summer interns can get cleared for that.

3) So emailgate was just another giant GOP nothing burger.
