I think the full impeachment process would be a whole lot more consequential than this one-day resolution to disapprove of Trump’s racism, whether or not he’s convicted in the Senate. And the Nixon administration also seemed untouchable until constant pressure forced him to realize he couldn’t continue.

In any case, if it’s important to get on the record condemning Trump’s racism, it’s even more important to try to stop him from doing any more damage, because every day that passes things are getting worse.

I agree. I’ve been more of a “let’s hold off until the investigations are done” person. But it is clear that Barr’s fat finger is on the scale, so that’s no longer an avenue. Time for impeachment hearings.
