Thing is, I don’t think any “fry cooks” have reason to worry that “Flippy” will take their jobs. Why? Because we heard this BS before, when we were told that the “Burger Machine” would replace line cooks and be the answer to demands for higher wages. The company eventually dropped the project because while a few restaurants expressed interest, they never got a single order to actually put one into service.

I mean automation is a thing and it’s happening but it still is a smoother process to go through regular check out. I do go through self check when I have 10 items or less but it’s all so stupid. Just pay people a decent wage. It’s not fucking hard.
