After Memorial Day, people are going to be traveling and spreading this thing all over. I was talking to my dad yesterday. A childhood friend’s son is getting married on June 1 in my hometown. My dad said originally he was only going to go the wedding and not reception. But he recently talked with the groom’s grandmother and has decided to skip it all together. College friends will be coming to the wedding from all over. My niece is also planning a wedding in July (again in my hometown) that will be hard for my dad to skip (he’ll probably go). Same thing, friends from all over. I wish she’d just get married then throw a big party next summer. Even in my family, the olds are expendable.
