Thanks. I’ll get you feedback when it’s live. Like I said earlier, I’ve found that killing javascript fixes the long thread crashing issue, but kills much of the site’s functionality. I”ve got the same problem with a bunch of other sites as well.

I don’t think it’s a problem with Javascript itself — disabling Javascript fixes the problem because embedded tweets are rendered with Javascript. Twitter has recently changed their embedding code substantially and embedded tweets now use much more memory than they used to.
